Additional Works

During our first visit/meeting on site to quote for any work, a visual inspection will have only taken place. This inspection doesn't involve any lifting/excavation or investigative work. So it is possible that upon starting any project there may be additional remedial work that hasn't been quoted for, Example – Replacing decking boards and the structural timbers underneath are rotten and need replacing but because the first visit was only visual and was unable to see the rotten timbers. If for any reason this does occur we will discuss the issue with you. We will agree a plan and cost to solve the issue. The additional work will be accepted and signed by you before we undertake the additional work.

Deviation of original work

During installation of works if for any reason you choose to change any materials, add any additional work this will alter the final. If it does increase the cost of the project you will have to agree and sign to accept for the additional work/costs before we go ahead and carry out the work requested.

Quote Validation

Your quotation will only be valid for 30 days from the date shown on the on top of you quote and will automatically be invalid thereafter.

Data Protection

The new General Data Protection Regulation is n force as of the 25/05/2018. As a company we are responsibly of keeping any personal information safe and protected. So if you have contacted us to provide a quote for any landscaping or maintenance work will keep your details for the 30days that the quote is valid after this period will be disposed of securely. If you have decided to go ahead and accepted our quote (which we hope of course has been accepted) any details we do have will be kept for a minimum of 7 years (HMRC requirements). We do not hold any bank details of any customers only Name, Address, Phone Number & Email address. We will only hold Bank details for anyone who works for L.A Landscaping & Garden Care, as they will obviously want to be paid. All/Any information will be stored on password/encrypted system and any information that needs to be disposed of will be done securely.

Artificial grass installation

At the height of summer the ground can become very hard to work with, so we will request that you water your grass for a substantial amount of time the day before we are due to arrive as our machine will not work against hard dry ground. If this guide isn't followed and other machinery is required but not quoted for this will alter the final bill. Upon completing any artificial grass installation there’s a manufacturer’s guarantee on the grass. If we find any issues whilst fitting the grass this will be resolved with the suppliers/manufacturers immediately. However once fitted and we have finished and left site any damage to the artificial grass caused by carelessness and pets will not be covered by L.A Landscaping & Garden Care or the Manufacturers.


Upon starting any work when materials and machinery are delivered, we take no responsibility for any injures you/children/pets might incur. We will do everything to keep the site safe and secure. However materials such as stacks of bricks/slabs can be dangerous and very heavy. Also any excavation work trenches/ponds can be hazardous areas until the project is complete so we advise you stay away from any materials machinery until it is safe to do so.


We reserve the right to take pictures of work throughout the project and use them for our advertising i.e. Website material. Pictures will also be taken as proof of work undertaken/completed. The location/identity details will not be advertised, unless you give permission to do so.


All materials purchased and installed on site will remain the property of L.A Landscaping & Garden Care until final balance is paid. We reserve the right to remove any/all materials if the bill is unpaid.


Balance on Completion (within 5 days otherwise fees may be applied) We accept payments in the forms of Bank Transfer (BACS – Online Banking), Cash and Cheques. We Do Not accept payment via credit cards. Any payments Via Cheque will incur a small banking charged to cover the cost of paying checks into the bank.

Late Payment Fees/interest

If the final payment/outstanding balance isn't pad in full after the 5 days from completion, then we reserve the right to charge interest on the outstanding balance. The interest rate charged s 10% of the outstanding balance. If your invoice remains unpaid for 60 days then further action will be taken and any additional fees incurred will be payable by yourselves.


You (Customer) have a right to cancel this contract without giving any reason. The cancellation period starts 14 days before the agreed date for works to commence. In order to exercise your right to cancel you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g. a phone call and letter sent by post, fax or email). To meet the cancellation deadline you should let us know that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. If you want to put this in writing, this can be sent to us at the above address or by email. If it s possible that we can start work within this 14day cancellation period and you are happy for works to commence we will need it in writing that you have agreed for work o start. If you then decided to cancel all work will stop. You will be billed for labour and materials used on site and materials that cannot be returned.
